The problem with doing it your way is that if the amounts change on sheet 1 they won’t update on sheet 3 as they will if you put the actual formulas in the cells on sheet 3

That's true. In this case it would be better to reference the cells than to copy the values. I was only letting the poster know that it is possible to copy and paste values from cells which contain formulas, since she seemed to be under the impression that it couldn't be done.
