Gygax' wife says he always enjoyed hearing from the game's devoted fans about how the game influenced their lives. "Hi, Gail? My name is Xanthurus the Mighty (my parents call me Phil Schmidz, but you know how it goes). I just wanted to let you know that thanks to your husband's wonderful invention I live in my mom's basement, I somewhat support myself by delivering pizzas for a little extra weed money and I have never kissed an actual live girl. Awesome!"

(Why is it that those who call themselves Constitutionalists know the least about the Constitution?)

Check out YouTube for the song “D&D” by the comedian Stephen Lynch.
I’d post it here, but it’d probably get pulled due to language. What a riot!

The next line in the AP story:
"It really meant a lot to him to hear from people from over the years about how he helped them become a doctor, a lawyer, a policeman, what he gave them," Gail Gygax said. "He really enjoyed that."
Rest in peace, Gary.
