In the increasingly unlikely event that Hillary Clinton is elected President, she will not "shut down" Rush Limbaugh's radio program or this forum.

She cannot legally do so, and if she were to attempt to do so illegally she would wind up either impeached or impotent.

I agree that Limbaugh's politiques du pire approach is stupid, but this is just paranoia, jveritas.

Limbaugh wants Hillary! to win enough delegates to “steal” the nomination, but not so many that she wins outright. He (like me) hopes that will split Democrat party and make it irrelevant for the foreseeable future.

This is not what he wants at all. In the end, I think he will vote McCain. He's just trying to get all he can get from McCain and I agree with him. He certainly does not want Hillary in the WH.

Unfortunately, we've been dealt a really lousy hand this year. The best thing that can be said about McCain is that he is not Hillary or Obama and he's likely to serve one term, if elected, and we may have another shot at it in four years. Let's just hooe he chooses a good solid conservative VP.

I’ve always respected your opinions, JV, and I am very grateful for the translation work you did on Saddam’s documents, but I think you’re over the top here. Rush may not like McCain, but he is a genuine conservative and I am sure he does not want Mrs. Bill Clinton elected president.

In case folks don’t understand the strategy -

1) McCain’s campaign will roll over for Obama, fearing that any opposition to him will be played as racism. Pure cowardice on McCain’s part.

2) Obama needs to be bloodied, or beaten in the primaries so he doesn’t skate through.

3) The Clintons need to stay viable going into the convention, hopefully with a delegate/popular vote deficit to Obama. They then will steal the nomination through machinations.

4) Hillary Clinton has the highest negatives of any candidate ever. The negative vote turnout will be huge, having great impact on the “down ticket” (CONGRESS) elections.

Don’t let your desire to sing “Ding dong the witch is dead” cloud your strategic thinking.

Personally I think El Rusbo screwed the pooch on this one by not coming out and endorsing one of the more conservative candidates and leaving us with McCain. Had he bothered to voice his preference we might still have a choice of candidates. He did not so we got screwed. I have stopped listening to Rush.

Rush Limbaugh wants Hillary Clinton to become President make no doubt about it.

Sorry old friend, but he doesn't. He wants a repeat of 1968 in which a brokered convention caused riots and ended the careers of many establishment Democrats. If Obama is the clear winner, Hillary can come back in 2012. If it is close, the convention will split and, if history is a guide, we will have riots and the two factions will never come to a common point. Hillary and the Clinton machine will be blamed and it will basically end Bill and Hillary's careers as well as emasculate the Democratic Leadership Council- the power behind the DNC, filled with Clinton people.

There is a much bigger picture and strategy going on here.
