Maryland state route 40 bisects Baltimore north and south.

It's known locally as Route 40 East and Route 40 West.

And it's also called Pulaski Highway.

One slight correction:

That Route 40 through Baltimore is U.S. 40, a national route akin to the legendary Route 66.

I had to do a Google search on Pulaski.

I had no idea who he was. I do not know whether we have a Pulaski anything in Fresno.
