Actually, that was 51 seconds of my life I want back. I just watched Palemale if you want a wonderful video of the red tailed hawk. Also, a pair are nesting on top of my building. I have the corner office on the 8th floor and get to watch them every day. Wonderful animal.

I was lying on the couch one day and just happened to be lying in such a position that I was able to take in the view through the sliding glass door that leads out to my back deck. As I was admiring the sunny day a when Red Tailed Hawk slammed into the sliding glass door. He remained perched on the deck for about 10 minutes as it was stunned and eventually flew away. He had been in the neighborhood about two weeks going after the multitude of squirrels. Does this mean it should also be called a squirrel hawk?
