“How did that come and go so quickly and when will it happen again?”

It was such a different sound from early, mid 60’s stuff that kids flocked to it, kind of like the rise of Grunge in the early 90’s after a decade of hideous 80’s keyboard bands.

The excitement may be over forever. I remember countless times gathering at friend’s houses to listen to a new album release on the stereo. It was a social event. The internet has changed that. There’s new bands out there in just about every genre that exits that are easily accessible, have a great sound and will never be heard on a radio or CD player.

“decade of hideous 80’s keyboard bands.”

some of the punk and new wave was pretty good.

“so you had better do what you are told - you better listen to the radio”.
