Most city and county elected posts in Oregon are "nonpartisan". The media outlets usually go along and don't report the affiliation of said officeholders or individuals running for those offices.

I can usually determine the party for myself within 5 seconds of one of them opening their mouth, but in this story the genuine policy issues have been left out and the only thing there is a non-moving face (well a little bit more than that). If I had to guess I'd say she looks more like a Republican.

I should also add Arlington is in the deep red environs of Oregon. All of Oregon except the three metro areas of the Willamette valley are solid Republican. Portland and Eugene city limits are ultraviolet, ruining the image of the rest of the state.
