Does anybody know about DISC assessment? Junk science or valuable tool? If the latter, does anyone know if it's available for free?

thanx

Not a bad tool. It will tell you what you should already know.
Personality profiles simply ask you questions about your personality and then tell you what you said.

We use them with our Human Resource Management students each year. They seem to work quite well at identifying the personality traits of the person taking the survey.

Here is a freebie..

I’ve done a number of different types of these personality tests. Like any, the DISC can be revealing, but in my experience none of them lead to any long term benefits. Perhaps others have had different experiences.

Yes, I just took the test and you're right. It told me what I already knew about myself. It wasn't necessarily what I thought it was.

We work with assessments and I find that your comments is very common. It tells you what you already knew but often what you had not been able to describe. They area both fun, enlightening and valuable. We only cover Florida for Predictive Index, but you can learn more at their website www.piworldwide.com.
