Just curious; what was the biggest thing BEFORE sliced bread?

I take it you have some kind of interest in this site, because it’s not terribly interesting, and its not really FreeRepublic-ish

Interesting, on the websites tab DU is the second listed. FR is nowhere to be found?

As a general rule, it is a (very) bad idea to click on links in posts, emails and things and doubly - so links which aren’t included.

But seriously. It’s risky, and generally nothing good comes of it. Malicious code can reside there. Porno. Who knows...

So why don’t you explain to FReepers what the link is, why you’re taking the time to post about it, so we can decide ahead of time, whether it would be a good idea to go.

Thanks so much.

Looked again. On politics link found DU & Daily KOS. FR not listed. This is a biased site.

I tried it a couple of years ago; it’s kind of fun for just randomly “stumbling upon” websites that other people think are interesting and that you may never find otherwise. Some good stuff, some duds. But the StumbleUpon toolbar slowed down my browser too much, and the novelty wore off quick, so I uninstalled it.

Yes, I use it once in a while. A friend at work told me about it. You have to be using Firefox browser. When you first add the Stumble! toolbar you choose categories that are of interest to you. IE, architecture, billiards, medieval history, Liberties/rights, Conservative politics, etc. Every time you click on the Stumble! tab it randomly brings you to a website you marked as having an interest in. I have found a lot of very cool stuff on there. Patriotic, christian music, humor, beautiful pics, etc. However, it can be offensive at times when it brings you to sites that have off color humor, liberal political ideology, anti-military, etc. I just gives those sites a “thumbs down” and it cuts down on how often it brings you to that particular kind of site in the future. It also lets you save the sites you Stumble across. I probably have a couple hundred saved to go back to and check out again when I have time.
