I've been struggling with it for about 3 months now. I went to see 3 doctors before I got the right diagnosis. The definite test for H-Pylori involves breathing in a special plastic bag, even though the disease is in your stomach.
The treatment which is, (and they already have packages made up of the exact dosage, so I guess they have it figured out) 4 different capsules, quite large in size, of antibiotics taken every 12 hours for 14 days. (You can pick up your prescription for $160.)
Three days ago, on the 6th day of the antibiotic treatment, I began to feel almost human again, and I can at last eat. Mine did not go into stomach ulcers, thank the Good Lord!
Hope your daughter will be fine. She's in my prayers.
A week ago I was admiring my new Grand Son and my son said the same thing (endoscopy). My son has had acid reflux for a while so I patted him on the head and told him of the Little Bill curse and that he did the right thing.
I was disturbed that my daughter was throwing up, as she told me, and the color indicated blood. I am glad that they have a treatment but I am concerned that we may have a propensity for this stuff, past is prologue.
