“like I said Ulcers killed my Father.”

You need to get past that idea that this is hereditary. My family had tons of problems w/ ulcers, but none since docs figured out that a virus caused it all.

What you’re saying is akin to “A cold killed dad, so my kids are prone to killer colds.” It makes little sense.

Yes, and no. Depends on the cause. If the ulcers are caused by H. pylori, you’re correct. HOWEVER, if the ulcers are a symptom of something, for example, Crohn’s Disease, there is a hereditary factor.
