Store Pulls Stock From Shelves
LAKELAND, Fla. -- Parents are being warned to check their children's Valentine treats carefully after a Florida family found a metal blade in a lollipop.
The Lakeland family found the piece of metal in the lollipop while addressing Valentine's treats Wednesday night.
The Pokemon candy was purchased at a Dollar General store.
Florida's Polk County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident, and said the metal appeared to have been sealed inside the lollipop wrapper.
Dollar General has pulled the remaining stock of the lollipops from its store shelves.

most probably, but not a bad idea to check your child’s candy today when they get home from school.

“Anyone else betting hoax or done by complaintant ??”
It’s a pretty good bet they did it themselves, especially since it was inside the wrapper, not inside the lollipop. Then again, most dollar store products are made in China, and they could be offering bonus lead or metal chunks with their candy now.

Yea, more quality products from China!
It’s hard to avoid buying things made in China. I still buy things from China, but just not food, toothpaste, or anything ingested. Thankfully, my kids are old enough, I don’t worry about them chewing on toys.

Reminds me of a syringe supposedly found in a Pepsi can in Lawrence Mass several years ago. Oddly enough the syringe was found by a welfare recipient who was later prosecuted for fraud.
On another note, almost everyone in Lawrence is a welfare recipient.
