Anyone watching "Wife Swap" ?
me

Posted on 02/13/2008 5:37:25 PM PST by marinamuffy

I don't usually watch this show but it's kind of interesting tonight. They are two Christian families. One is a very conservative born again family and the other is liberal and doesn't really believe the bible. The weird part is that the father from the liberal family is a theologian with all kinds of degrees.

The father from the conservative family is a little much but that family seems to love the Lord.

I guess anyone that goes on these shows it pretty strange anyhow.

Just wondering if anyone else is watching.

I saw the 30-second teaser - the metrosexual guy crying to the swapped wife - “You hurt my feelings!”

Missus and I both said, “you’re KIDDING!”

I only watch Supernanny. There is something oddly sexy about her.

Or maybe I've had one too many beers tonight, I'm not sure.

I’ve never seen Supernanny but I just saw the commercial saying it’s up next. She’s ok, I guess. Being as I like guys, I can’t tell for sure though ;-)

Not weird at all -- the big name seminaries fell to the Communists decades ago.

"liberal and doesn't really believe the bible"

That's what passes for a Christian in Hollyweird these days. Just a passing thought...Can one be a true liberal and a true born-again Christian at the same time? On the surface, I don't see how it's possible.

Yes and no. I don't think anyone can have liberal theology and be a true Christian but I do think it's possible to have many politically liberal views and still be a Christian. I don't think they'd be right obviously, but they can still be a brother or sister in Christ!

depends on your definition of liberal.
socialist christian? sure. that describes my brother in law and cousin.
if you mean liberal in the take the christian God out of everything, but allah is ok, abortion is ok, homosexuality is ok, pre/ extra- marital sex is ok.. no. that’s just too far.
