Hey wagglebee and everyone on the Pro-Life list:

The primary here in Louisiana is this upcoming Saturday. If Fred is still on the ballot I will vote for him. If he is not I will vote for Mitt.

The defense of innocent life has always been the first factor in my vote, and here is where I am at a quandary for the Nov. General election:

McPain is awful but he is Pro-Life to a certain degree, though I know about his many compromises. So with regards to Supreme Court appointments: w Obama/Hildabeast we get more Justice Ginsberg's and with McPain probably more Kennedy's which would be a step up as a Ginsberg replacement. I realize we may also get more Souters w McPain.

Bottom Line:
Obama/Hildabeast = NO hope for unborn babies
McPain = some slight possible hope for unborn babies

Any thoughts?

I have no real hope that McCain would appoint any judges to the USSC who would overturn abortion.

He has playing for the other team for sometime now. Remember, it was suggested that he would be the running mate for Kerry.

Huckabee is FAR more pro-life than McCain, so I will support him.

McCain doesn’t have a strong enough passion for the life issue, and wanted to weaken the pro-life plank in the Republican platform, according to the late Congressman Henry Hyde, but is more pro-life than Hillary or Obama, so IF he is the nominee, I will hold my nose and vote for him.

I will use my energy and votes to save as many babies as I can.

P.S. What a depressing mess we are in.

“If Fred is still on the ballot I will vote for him. If he is not I will vote for Mitt.”

Why would you vote for Mitt if Fred isn’t on the ballot? If the pro-life issue is important to you, as you say it is (it is for me too), why not vote for Huckabee who has always been pro-life instead of Mitt who has not always been pro-life?

Thanks for the ping. I see that Dobson has endorsed Huckabee.

I agree with the title of this thread.

My thought would be to vote for Ron Paul, to keep McCain and Huckabee from getting enough electorates. Then we'd have a brokered convention, and can't end up any worse than McCain!

My thoughts? With McCain we get (at worst) pro-life cred and one leg of the stool—foreign policy. With Hillary or Obama we get none of that. Moreover, Hillary is a criminal.

You asked for thoughts, here goes.....

You see McCain as “pro-life to a certain degree.” That’s like being “kind of pregnant.” This is an area in which the choices have no shades of gray, because they are literally the choice between life and death.

Politicians and politics live on the middling, the compromise and the expedient. To quote Ayn Rand (an atheist, but a very clear thinker) “In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit.”

The Culture of Death must be confronted head on in ALL in guises, whether it is The Islamic Religion of Submission that sacrifices its votaries or the Religion of Choice that sacrifices generations of unborn innocents.

Like it or not, neither party offers a real alternative in this year. McCain will probably win the nomination because he is a political creature, when what we really need is an apolitical moral leader.

Unfortunately, in this year when a third party alternative would be most appealing, we have only the offering of the Ron Paul Surrender Monkey.

You asked for thoughts - I’m afraid the ones I have to offer are only dark.

***It’s the PRIMARIES. Vote for whom is closest to your viewpoint, regardless of who the leading candidate is or even if the candidate has dropped out. You can compromise later.
