With the sorry choices of McCain or McCain left, how about a write-in of Thompson in Texas? Is it allowed under Texas primary rules?
Beats not voting and beats supporting McCain.

Are you willing to sit there and not fight back. We should be yelling to get our choice and vote back.
They just threw us overboard and we are trying to decide on what whimpey candidate left to choose.
Heck we should turn this election on it’s ear and demand there will be no election until we get our choice and vote back.

Me too. If I can't vote for a conservative, I will vote for the least liberal.

A third party candidate won’t win this presidency if he isn’t in the race already.
I do recommend that after the 2008 election, all conservative Republicans find some conservative party to shift membership to and end this farce that is the GOP filled with RINO Democrats. Become a 3 (or 4) party nation.

In Fred's case, I would hope it is for Party unity at this point in time. He should have made his statement when he withdrew ... but then again I don't believe his heart was really in a run for President.
Hunter was my first choice and he is on the ballot. Romney was my second and he is on the ballot. Both pushed aside by the MSM in my mind, possibly out of fear of moving the country to a more conservative stance than it is right now. Romney some, Hunter more. Both in my mind better for the Party and the country than McCain.
A brokered convention is not going to happen. There is no one candidate to date with the ability to not only unite the Party but win against the Dems. Not any of the ones who have withdrawn. No other not running I can think of. No other capable of winning in November.
For the Primary I will have to go with Hunter or Romney. For the General I'll hold my nose and go with the GOP/McCain. I could not sit back and turnover the country to two socialists.
My hope is we have a strong VEEP ... for me Romney has show the best all round abilities, including attracting voters and balancing regions of the country.

I have accepted it. McCain cannot beat Obama and more than likely cannot beat her Heinous. All those great open primary voters will magically smile and mark a “D” on their ballot in November. we have been infiltrated and played for the fools we are. I have coined the phrase Trojan Horse for this great undermining campaign the Dims mounted.

The election was rigged from day one when the debates featured questions from Democrat activists and staffers posing as undecided Republican voters.

Me, too - Hunter’s getting my primary vote. I’m trying not to vomit as I sit here listening to McCain address the CPAC. Lord, I just wanna SMACK the guy! If the Secret Service is looking, I’m just kiddin’.

Just talked with the Republican Party of Texas. According to the person I talked to:
The counties print the ballot, Thompson has filed in Texas, so there’s a good chance he will be on the ballot, depending on your county.
Second, write-ins are not allowed. The only other option than someone who is on the ballot is “Uncommitted”.

You can still vote for Fred or any of the ten candidates on the ballot. Texas Primary Ballot Voting for Fred. McCain is a flaming lib that will pass amnesty, a not so stealthy democrat.
