I knew Madison would get it. That was a rogue supercell that held on for a 110 miles. Wow! (TN 104, Fla 82)!

My son and his wife are here for the night. They live in a little house without a basement. He is on the phone trying to get in touch with a bunch of his friends who all live in the area that was hit. Apparently they are calling for people with chain saws to get the road open.

Don’t have cable so no weather channel. I’m just hoping my husband doesn’t run across this tonite. He’s in the hospital and doesn’t need the extra concern!

I’ve left a message on her cell. Land line didn’t connect.

Gonna try again.

Someone mentioned the tornado going through downtown Nashville. Is that right?

It started in Fairview and held together through Nashville, but according to a friend who was at the hockey game there was no damage downtown.

Thanks will try both - The Weather Channel has been pretty good. That cell that brought a tornado through downtown Nashville is moving north east.

TWC said 3 fatalities in Kentucky, in Memphis area, and in one other location - not sure where.

Now Memphis bloggers are posting that there was no looting at the mall in Memphis. Said there were family members going in and out trying to find relatives. Said just a false rumor about looting.

God bless you and everyone else in the path of this storm. I’m praying for all my FRiends tonight. I absolutely am terrified of even the mention of them.

I just watched local and that storm that came through the west side no doubt was a ground spinner because it has the same signature for 30 miles. The Kentucky line near Trousdale Cty need to be aware of the danger.

But Memphis should be in the clear soon too, probably just a few minutes. That front is moving so fast.

Tornado WARNINGS in Alexandria LA! Should this thread title change and be in breaking news? Or a new thread?
