We have talked to our friend and are listening to the police scanner. Reports of some people trapped in a house collapse in that area.
Maybe you could check google maps for her address? When we have severe weather here in MN, we stay up and watch TV. Hopefully your friend is keeping an eye on the weather.
TWC now saying line of storms going through Memphis again...and showing the damage in Memphis already tonight.
Says new tornado warning is in Alabama!
Says so far not heard bad damage in downtown Nashville so far. But supercell moving up to southeast corner of Kentucky.
Second line going through TN, AL, KY new storms developing from Jackson on down. UGH!!!!
I have not heard of any damage in the Nashville area on the local stations.

Thank you! I don’t have my friend’s address - just her phone number. She is a widow living alone in a retirement complex - but she is in like a cluster home that is in between two others....so that’s probably good.

make sure you try your stepdaughter’s cellphone - her regular land line won’t work if the power is out. If you can’t reach her on the cell try sending a text message from your cell - she will get it when she gets a signal and call you

Is there a decent local TV station in Nashville that would have live streaming coverage of these storms? I went to a couple I found on the internet and they were worthless except for the doppler maps.
Lampley and Pinewood Rd. Numerous houses gone. Major search and rescue required.

Everything’s moved through here now, so things should be calm.
Memphis TV station just lost power, but can still hear the sound. They are setting up in the room with a generator.
But Memphis should be in the clear soon too, probably just a few minutes. That front is moving so fast.
