I actually was in Memphis for about 8 years. Moved out a few years ago.
I lived there when Hurricane Elvis came through. Took me 2 hours to drive a few miles down Germantown Pkwy. that morning.
Depend on whether that line west of Memphis holds together.
Just stepped outside. Still hot and muggy.
Praying for everyone.
Memphis would be a great city if they could get the crime under control. People are wonderful, beautiful trees, interesting sites.

Eight students trapped in dorms at Union University, emergency workers at scene
A storm system passing through Jackson has damaged several buildings at Union University and trapped some students in the university’s resident halls, according to a university spokesman.
At least eight students are trapped in Hurt Complex and Watters Complex, which are residence halls at the school, said Tim Ellsworth, who is news director at the university.
Still some live power lines down in Oxford area.
