Then again, the ammo price kind of evens itself out by how many you can actually fire. When I had my 454 Casull, the factory ammo was $114 (in 1992), then again, a box (50 rounds) was more than enough...

i’m a glutton for punishment. 20 rounds of each that day, and i was going, “that’s all the ammo you brought? ok, i’ll shoot the little stuff, gimme the .45-70”
