This was back in 2002... when the taping wasn't illegal yet... only shady.

Footall has often been compared to warfare - spying is considered essential in real warfare. Preventing the enemy from spying on you is also essential. Wow! You really are the ghost of nixon!

The guy that wrote this story is Patriots beat writer John Tomase, who is despised by Bill Belichik.

The story has been around for some time, but dropping this on the world two days before the Super Bowl will tarnish whatever happens today.
Already ESPN’s MIke and Mike have been obsessing over this for an hour.
Using a single source, who may or may not have videoed the Rams, who may or may not have been directed by the Patriots coaching staff, who may or may not be lying, who may or may not be a disgruntled ex-employee, and who now refuses to talk to anybody, is not the paragon of responsible journalism.
I sincerely hope that the Herald’s self-serving John Tomase and the POS who handed him this story get driven out of town.
If you would like to communicate with the rolly-poley Tomase, his phone number is easily available via Google.

Belichick, Brady and Co. will never live this down.
I realize, as a New Yorker, you're emotionally involved.
However, there is no evidence that this story is true.

Other than the fact that the Patriots have already been found guilty of breaking the rules doing this very thing?
C’mon.

There is a thing called “prior history” but you can sweep that they were already caught doing the same thing under the rug if you wish.

Really? Look at what happened this year. They were caught cheating are you really naive enough to think that was the first time they filmed a team? Are all Patriots fans in such denial?

Whaaaaaa...stp your whining. How about us Tribe fans getting that Mitchell report leak out right before game 6 or 7 or when ever it was, about Paul Byrd. THAT was a distraction and it helped your/Boston cause. Can't feel sorry for you guys right now. I'm a huge Giants and Mercury Morris fan right now.
OH,by the way,Belichek was an azz when he was here also...

Jimmy Johnson, Howie Long, and Terry Bradshaw all just laughed at the stupidity of all of you folks with Patriots Derangement Syndrome. All three agreed it was a non-story and the whole thing is blown totally out of proportion because the Pats have done nothing everyone else doesn't do. But hey, who am I to get in the way of you and your friends maniacal fixation on the Patriots. Enjoy your mental illness.
