As much as Patriots’ fans want to put their head in the sand and pretend that this scandal doesn’t exist, it does. By the time the whole story is told (and it may take months), I predict that Belicheck and Brady won’t be considered among the best at their position any longer.

This was back in 2002 - when the Patriots beat the Rams.

just wait. You’re going to hear a lot more from former Patriots video assistant Matt Walsh (1996-2003) before this is all said and done.
Hey, your boy Brady sure does look really good when he knows exactly what plays the defense is going to call. I wonder if illegally taping other team’s signals helped with that?

It’s pretty obvious now that the Giants don’t expect to do well tomorrow.

The pats won’t need to cheat to beat my beloved giants. The giants will beat themselves with stupid mistakes. The Giants physically match up well with the pats. But they’re just not mentally though enough to get it done in the big game.
As for Belichick being a cheater, he’s not only a cheater, he’s the best in the business. In the Giants Bills superbowl, he had his defensive players fake injuries, to kill the bills offensive momentum. Falling to the ground, taking time to get off the field. He follows the Al Davis motto just win baby. And if he’s your coach you love him for it.

Soooo....WE don’t get the message that “the Patriots are cheaters”
aaaaand
YOU don’t give the message that “don’t give a damn that you think they are cheaters”
kind of a stand off, eh?

According to Greg Easterbrook, they did.
He specifically asked a front office representative that he had personally known for years if they had uncovered evidence that they had cheated in the Super Bowls as well. The representative would not give Easterbrook a straight answer.

I opened up the sports page just now and ... you know as they say, the writing is on the wall, it seems this is a bit of the Patriot way; sorry all and really, that is the unique reason I have in not liking them.

My favorite piece of the article:
Told of the newest allegation, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello told The Associated Press on Saturday:
"We were aware of the rumor months ago and looked into it. There was no evidence of it on the tapes or in the notes produced by the Patriots, and the Patriots told us it was not true."
Sounds like a real thorough investigation to me. The NFL asked the Patriots if they did anything wrong, the Patriots said no, and the NFL forgot about it. What's all the excitement about?
I don't care for either team playing tomorrow. But I detest cheating and I have the feeling this story is just getting started.

I agree. I like the job Goodell has done so far (on Vick, Pacman and others), but he really dropped the ball here. Hopefully the new commish learns a lesson of what happens when you let cheaters off the hook relatively painlessly instead of fully and thoroughly vetting the facts of the case.
This can’t be fun for the Commissioner. It’s the biggest weekend of the year for his business and he’s having to answer questions about additional cheating by the Patriots 5 years ago. Not too great for the league’s image.

Hey threechamps,
How’s your vacation in Egypt going? Are you touring the Pyramids and enjoying the sights? All of the Pats’ fans are in Egypt this week, because you’re all swimming in denial.
