PHOENIX - One night before the Patriots [team stats] face the Giants in Super Bowl XLII, new allegations have emerged about a Patriots employee taping the Rams final walkthrough before Super Bowl XXXVI.
According to a source, a member of the teams video department filmed the Rams final walkthrough before that 2002 game. The next day, the Patriots upset St. Louis, 20-17, on a last-second field goal by Adam Vinatieri for their first championship.

Or hot water for that matter....
How do the Rams’ turnovers factor into the discussion? How about Martz not running the ball when the Pats were playing 7-8 men back?
Rams should have won that game if not for turnovers and stupid coaching.
The were flagged this year. What does this year have to do with the SB in 2002?
No but the Pats DBs beat the snot out of the Rams WRs that day and Faulk was hit more often than he normall was.
Apparently,nobody important.
Just a fan. No luxury suite or million dollar contract to offer the NFL for a 2”x4” patch on a uniform.
And neither am I. Goodell has taken a very tough stance against BS in the past and I fail to see that he’s engaged in a cover up on this front.
I thought the score of this game was going to be pats 38 gnats 28. Now, I’m expecting a pats blowout. They’re going to lay waste my team. As for Belichick, I love the guy because he helped the G-men win two titles. And won’t it be fun to watch the congressional hearings with him versus specter? I think it will make for great tv.
Can you give me a sensible reasonwhy he chose to destroy the tapes?
To only investigate back 2 years?
To only investigate the Patriots?
He said that due to leaks in his office he decided to get rid of the tapes so they didn’t show up anywhere else. I think a 1st round pick is fair punishement and the fine is hefty enough so that no one does this again which is sort of the point.
LOL!
Yeah, right! Let's see. Fix the leaks in his office or destroy evidence?
I wish Richard Nixon was here to help with this decision.
You have decided that Goodell is corrupt when you have no evidence to support that contention. An answer was provided, you don’t like it so ergo, he’s corrupt and like Nixon which is rather pathetic logic.
Now you’re just being silly.
I’m just asking questions. And I’m not the only one asking.
