Since you an expert I am sure you know who Dave Mech is. He study the Wolves 1975 in MN in an area no human hunters could get to. The wolves completely wipe out the deer in that area. The study was done in 1975. In 2002 Range magazine did an interview with him and he said Oh yes that is true and not only that but they still had not recovered. 27 years later the deer still had not recovered. So are you saying Dave Mech is lying? He also said he saw the wolves in Alaska completely wipe out snowshoe hares and Musk Ox in the area he was studying them.
Another with common sense.
Also, welcome to FR. You must be the anti-hinting DU crowd that migrated over here a couple of years ago. Have fun saving the whales and stuff
Where do you live zoology major? In your little cubicle-right? You read all about our wildlife out west, and know more than us four-generation: farmers, ranchers, and loggers, who families moved here before Idaho was a state, and still a territory. My family punched the first railroad into Latah County, from Spokane, Washington. The job continued down the Julietta Grade, down by Kendrick.
My great-grandfather was one of the founding pioneers in Moscow, Idaho. My grandfather, father, and my husband now worked in the woods, camped, fished, hunted, all through the Lochsa River, Clearwater Basin, Selway Bitteroot area, and the Northfork of the Clearwater. Elk are now at a l0% population in this entire area. The wolves slaughtered them, and the IDF&G won’t even admit it. They will lose all their wolf money. People here hate the wolves, and if you come here, I wouldn’t say I was a wolf watcher, you haven’t been off your comptuter, or out into the backcountry of Idaho; the outfitters, hunters, and sportsmen hiking and inspecting wolf scats have told me the truth. These organizations lie.
