I’ve been interested in wolves for a long time. I’ve got a little collection of them...red wolves, grey wolves...studied them from afar sorta speak. They’re not evil, they’re not useless, or half a dozen other negative things I’ve heard on here. It sounds like they’re out of control in your area. Which is not THEIR fault. But like I said I’d pull a trigger! I’m not so endeared that I can’t see how a population boom isn’t harmful to other creatures.
I seriously think Ted Nugent would make the argument that killing them off in a rational reasoned manner will actually do more to SAVE them than anything else. People resent them and that might lead to their extinction quicker than anything (as evidenced here tonight alone would indicate!)
PETA’s probably doing more harm to them than they are good, like destructive libs usually are good for!
But yeah, do-gooders that think they know everything there is to know that ram them down people’s throats is insane.
But just because people defend wolves doesn’t make them PETA loons either!
And G8, I’ve seen around here for a long time and for anyone to assert G8’s a liberal...that’s absolutely hilarious!
I understand predators very well and I also have been hunting for 40 years. I know for a fact you could open a hunting season on them today and there well still be wolves. Like all animals once they learn that man is hunting them they learn to become scarce.
Predators normally when hunted will only move at night. Even if a liberal 4 month hunting and trapping season was open you could not hurt the population. The Federal studies say you can take out 50% each year and the following fall you will have the same numbers back. But it help the wolves too because it opens up the terroritory keeps them from catching diseases etc. But it also help the prey species by giving them a break from constants attack and allows them to recover. It is overall management goal. The big problem with wolves is there huge hunting range. Not many places in the US that has room for them. We should not be putting ranchers out of business. That is happening for a fact. The whole eco-tourist pipedreams never happens and rural towns suffer from lost of the true eco tourist the hunters. The rural towns also suffer as the ranchers are run out of business. What I am talking about is the true price rural America is paying for the wolves.
