This is the third cat she has lost. Her first, Simone, was also hit by a car.
Her second, Sassy, just disappeared. That picture was of Marissa and Sassy.
About a week after Sassy disappeared, Milo appeared in our yard. Marissa would swear that her prayers were answered. He walked up to Marissa and put his front paws on her legs asking to be picked up.
This morning, she was laughing and crying while she remembered him hiding behind a chair and then attacking me when I walked by.
It is difficult to lose a pet, but it is better to love and lose one than to never have a pet to love.
We will get another but will probably wait about a month.
