According to my sources, we have nothing to celebrate today, so .......... Happy Nothing Day!!NOTHING??? Well, we can't have that. Maybe this can be "Amy's Place" day. :-)

Good morning, Meg.
Your graphic is beautiful, but ......
I'm ready for spring. : (
Dust of Snow by Robert Frost is a perfect selection for your graphic.
Thank you!!

Good morning, OESY!
Thank you for bringing "Hot Chocolate and Warm Cuddles."
I took a break after seeing your graphic of the steaming chocolate.
I needed a cup of coffee.
Thank you for always bringing a wonderful poem and a great graphic to Amy's Place.
Have a Happy Tuesday.

This link was sent to me in an email, Dirt Roads by Paul Harvey:

Sorry I have not been here. Between emailing an out-of-town friend, emailing my siblings about problems of our aging parents, & work, I have no time for FReeping. I appreciate any and all prayers during this time. Dad was hospitalized for his thyroid & malnutrition in Sept ‘07, he survived. He had been dividing his time between his girlfriend, who is my age & is an hour & 1/2 away, & his house up here about 20-30 by highway from my house. During the last 4 years while I was working 2 jobs to catch up on my debts, his girlfriend talked him into mortgaging his house to buy her a farm. The way the deed is written it will go to her when he dies & he has made NO provisions for his death other than putting the names of my brother & I on his 2 houses. His life ins. bene’s weren’t even up to date. It has been a maddening mess that we are still working on. Dad is still alive, but I don’t think he’s doing well mentally.
Please pass on this info to anyone who remembers me &/or who might pray for us. Thank you.

Is it a snowstorm, or is it nothing?
Music pounding in my head
Nails are scratching at the board
They are screaming in my ears
And still it’s nothing- sweet and simple nothing
I am dancing, grooving to the beat
Walking to an unknown destination- so, so far
Writing for some deep and profound reason
And still it’s nothing- sweet and simple nothing
Nothing has ever been as beautiful as nothing
A nothingness free of pain, of suffering
A nothingness where I can forever be
Cause there’s nothing more special than nothing. — Kim Moreau
Happy Nothing Day, as in: You ain't seen nothing yet!.

Good morning, Lori.
I'm enjoying this spring-like day.
Aren't the trees lovely? I'm so anxious for my bulbs to start blooming.
My Redbud should be blooming soon. Yeahhh.
Looking forward to some new graphics for Spring.
Thank you for all you do for Amy's Place.
Have a Terrific Tuesday.

"I resemble that remark."
The Snow Man One must have a mind of winter
To regard the frost and the boughs
Of the pine-trees crusted with snow;
And have been cold a long time
To behold the junipers shagged with ice,
The spruces rough in the distant glitter
Of the January sun; and not to think
Of any misery in the sound of the wind,
In the sound of a few leaves,
Which is the sound of the land
Full of the same wind
That is blowing in the same bare place
For the listener, who listens in the snow,
And, nothing himself, beholds
Nothing that is not there and the nothing that is.

PAL, it is wonderful to see you here again, but it sounds like you have some real serious family issues you are dealing with. It is so easy for some people to manipulate older people, and so sad when it happens in your family and you are unable to intervene. I will say a prayer for you and for your dad.

Thank you so much Amy, we need it.
My sister just emailed me, our dad has a variable interest rate on his loan according to the deed. I asked him yesterday when his mortgage payments are due and he didn’t know. He said his girlfriend has some checks so she can make the payments.
LOL, I think I need more supplements. I keep thinking I need to go out for a drink, but my hubby is a recovered alcoholic. I better not get started.

Turn not aside, discouraged one, Stir up your gift, pursue your goal,
In God's own time you'll see Him work,
He'll give you hope and lift your soul.

Have a Terrific Tuesday. I aim to. ;-)
You have a terrific Tuesday too. I need to run to the bank and then get started on pruning back my ground roses. They should have been pruned back last month, now they are already starting to sprout new leaves. Can't keep up with how fast things grow once the weather starts turning a couple of degrees warmer.
