This can be devastating to young men/boys. I have a friend whose Son had one enlarged breast. His girlfriend had placed her hand under his shirt, and he pulled away, embarrassed. She wanted to know why, and after much prodding, he showed her. She told him it wasn’t anything he should be ashamed about, but he wouldn’t hear it.
The next day at school she mentioned it to one of her girlfriends, and she spread it around that he was a hermaphrodite.
He got made fun of and threatened. That night he shot himself in the head.
He was a really good kid, only 15 years old. My 13 year old Daughter, at the time, had a crush on him, and was inconsolable for several weeks.
We all miss him very much.
