No : You got it Wrong, at this point : “Old liberal”, means that at least in some issues, it is well known, since a long time ago, that someone agrees with Dems, and doesn’t have a consequent and crystal-clear Conservative Values’ view.
The physical Age of any Person has nothing to do with his or her capacities : We agree absolutely with you on this point. Usually, even Indians gave special importance to Experienced People, and it was “Old” Men who saved an entire village from the 2004 Tsunami thanks to their Memory. We are among those who condemn Age Racism against Senior Workers.
The only useful thing that anyone might say about this, is the simple fact that McCain obviously plays his last Presidential hopeful game, while Huckabee can have also another chance in 2012, being almost 20 Years younger.

In consequence, in order to get any eventual support from Values’ oriented Conservatives, McCain must make crystal-clear Promises on such concrete points, and to make a coalition f. ex. with a clear Value Conservative like Governor Mike Huckabee, whoever might be first.
But, his past record, we’re afraid, does NOT let many hopes for a real change, on such important Issues both for America and the World, as well as for all Humankind, that no serious person can ignore.
=> That’s one among the many and various reasons for which Value-oriented Conservatives feel much more at ease with Governor Mike Huckabee.
