Well, you know that BO has this huge list of accomplishments in just 2 months:

1. Helped keep the unemployment offices busy.
2. Made our system "fairer" by firing CEO's as well.
3. Made it possible to hire tax cheats once again.
4. Has allowed cheap, tawdry gifts to be back in vogue.
5. Will guarantee the warranty on my Avalanche and make great electric cars for all.
6. and last, but not least, has elevated his telepromptor to cabinet status.........

Good Lord! First that trashy woman in the White House decides to wear a sweater to meet the Queen then she actually puts her arm around The Queen.. of course, that was after both of them shook hands with her instead of briefly glasping her hand as protocol states is appropriate. As least they didn't attempt a curtsy. No that act of submission was reserved for a Saudi King.

The person who is supposed to be the Leader of the free world is bowing down to an islamist monarch. I have no words strong en ough to express my contempt for this sorry piece of work.

I am quite certain that this is not the protocol, and is most unbecoming a President of the United States.

Update: See Miss Manners on the protocol. Americans do not bow to foreign monarchs because that act signified the monarch's power over his subjects.

Here is the protocol from the Queen of England's website -- which applies even to her own subjects:

"The Queen meets thousands of people each year in the UK and overseas. Before meeting Her Majesty, many people ask how they should behave. The simple answer is that there are no obligatory codes of behaviour - just courtesy.

However, many people wish to observe the traditional forms of greeting.

For men this is a neck bow (from the head only) whilst women do a small curtsy. Other people prefer simply to shake hands in the usual way.

On presentation to The Queen, the correct formal address is 'Your Majesty' and subsequently 'Ma'am'. "
