My brother used to ‘sneak’ one pea at a time off his plate, and slide it under his plate. When we cleared off the table after dinner, (and he was long gone, out riding his bike), there would be a ring of peas on the table under his plate. Or, he would put them, one at a time into his pocket. When mom would go to wash his jeans, (a few days later) she would hear a rattling in the pocket. You got it. Dried peas.
