I have enormous respect for age and as for as appearances go, think Mrs McCain is remarkable, she looks better than some people who are 15 or 20 years her junior. However, it was her son who put his 92 year old mother out there doing interviews and appearances for him. So, I'm guessing he thinks she is up to any criticism her comments might generate. Age notwithstanding, I find her attitude almost as objectionable as her son's.

I have a delightful 84 year old neighbor. She is an artist, a business woman, world traveler, mother of 5, grandmother of 6 and has just become a great grandmother for the first time. She is not only witty and engaging but she is extremely smart. I adore having her nearby, try to see her as often as possible, she is an education.
