I can't place it exactly but I'm pretty sure that castle is in the south of France.

You are right Darlin', that is Puilaurens Castle in the south of France not far from from Carcassonne. My niece and her husband visited their son in Barcelona last week-end and took a trip to the area.
He brought back a colored magazine - so I borrowed it and scanned some pictures of the castles around there.
Here is another picture I scanned from the same magazine of Carcassonne.
