I am sorry my comment was misunderstood yorkie - I think your post was very interesting and a perfectly reasonable subject to open up for discussion.
I just made the comment that I, personally, would be paddling into dangerous waters on here if I made any comment.
Religion has survived for thousands of years - long before the the birth of Christ from the very fact that it does not rely upon, but in fact defies logic - therein lies its strength and durability, it is completely unassailable by logic. Myth, superstition, illusion and magic are its stock in trade and heresy its counter argument.
I am simple cognisant of the fact that it is dangerous to attempt to fortify any belief system with logic. Logic is the enemy, logic will destroy it. The marriage of Mathematics, the Queen of Science, and Theology is a marriage made in Hell. :)
I see that you too Yorkie, recognise how such a marriage would grievously harm both parties.
