No kidding, Nully. Could you tell us?
Didn’t get much of a chance to do any touristy things, spent most of the week working.
The day we did get to do some driving around I was very impressed by the pervasiveness of military preparations. Every little valley had Dragon’s Teeth across the narrowest parts. You’d go around a corner on a picturesque mountain road and be looking straight at a quaint chalet, only a second look would reveal that the chalet is made of reinforced concrete, and has machine gun slits. A straight stretch of highway would have a removable median barrier, and would pass right by a hill with aircraft hangers built into it. The road in a narrow pass would have a row of little squares across it, the tops of posts that could be raised out of the pavement at the touch of a button.
Small wonder even Hitler didn’t invade!
