Well, that was my first thought. I thougth AMD was in with nvidia? I built my last two machines based on the smooth workings between the two manufacturers.
I’ve always felt the same way also, my little brother always went with AMD and Nvidia graphics cards while I always went with Intel and ATI graphics cards.
Nowadays I still stick with Intel and ATI but I’m keeping a close eye on SLi/Crossfire support on motherboard chipsets. I’m rather have a smoother interaction between my motherboard and duel graphics card then my preference for Intel chips.
That said, I waited forever for AMD to come out with their 2000 series cards and now the 3000 series is out, I won’t be in a position to upgrade for another year and by then I would have to wait several more months to a year for the 4000 series to come out. bah
AMD bought ATI.
