“...to justify our sins.” Not sure what you mean by that. “Justify” suggests that sins were really OK and just needed some form of formal approval. Is that what you meant? And, as to “come home and live with him forever,” where will that be? And under what conditions will that life be lived?

What is meant in justify is, when all stand before God’s White Throne or Christ’s judgment seat. All have sinned and Christ death on the cross, with the shedding of his blood that covers and cleanses out sin repented for. With this we are clean and made perfect in God’s eyes. With out the sacrifice of the cross we would not be justified. So sins or sinning is not, OK but when we come home to God through his son Jesus by inviting him into our hearts or into the way we are living, we become new in our thinking and stop sinning. This does not mean we have no sin but we will be judged as having no sin and daily we ask for forgiveness.
