Sorry, but there’s no way I want to see the Whitehouse to a left wing marxist.. and clinton to boot.. because the republican choices are poor... yes, I will probably end up holding my nose..

PJ, to paraphrase Shakespeare, methinks the Lad rejoiceth too much. Is there not absolute truth? Is there not a time for mourning? Yes we must move forward; perhaps reflection is yet in order.

Some who are indeed Conservatives need to stay in the game and keep prayerfully slogging on and not be dismayed and sidelined.
Some who THINK they are Conservatives arent; the U.S. Constitution DEFINES Conservatism. To those I ask, please prayerfully rethink your positions.
Beyond that, there are many who are in America while America is not in them and they are definitely voting, early, often and Liberal. To Conservatives, I ask please prayerfully stand against these threats.

Yeah.. the Mitt supporters called on Fred supporters to vote for Mitt in Michigan, and said they will vote for Fred in SC, that is called bait and switch( just like the Democrats did ), I hope no Fred supporters fall for that lie.

Since Rush didn’t support the only 2 real conservatives in this race when he had the TIME to do it, Rush will go down the road of being irreverent.....
A lot of conservatives are disappointed in Rush when he could have stepped up to the plate and done what he believes in in saving this country from liberals insted of his pride and his personal policy of endorsing a candidate during the primaries.
From now on, Rush's view and his beliefs are going to ring hollow when he could have done what he believes in.... Rush's star is going to fade fast.
Rush's , Ann's and Michelle's words and what they say are going to ring hollow from now on with the conservatives.....

At some point, we'll have to ignore the Impractical Ideological Purist wing and move on. They don't even like Fred Thompson who I still think could be a dark horse if we have a brokered convention because he is everybody's second choice.
Meanwhile, we need to wait and see which candidate is the most hated by the enemedia. That's a pretty good indication of who is our best choice. Hint: It's ain't McCain or Huckabee.

Only in your comic book fantasy world.
Back in the real world, the Clintons have a thick oppo book on Romney, and they will chew him up and spit him out.
I saw Dem consultant Donna Brazile on one of the talking head panels on TV last night. She said if Romney is the nominee, the Dems plan to go after him on his serial flip-flopping. Since this is what Republicans did to Hanoi John Kerry in ‘04, the Dems are salivating over getting payback. Payback’s a bit*h, and its name is H. Rotten Clinton.
They will use Romney’s many misstatements against him, especially the “My father and I marched with MLK through the streets of Detriot” one. They will use his false claim that he “had the endorsement of the NRA” in a prior election. Even though the Dems are anti-gun, they will use misstatements about his firearms ownership and his claim that he had “been a hunter all my life.”
The Dems will also try to spin Mitt’s record at Bain Capital, where he was a turnaround specialist, against him. They will paint him as an eeevilll and heartless kaptialist who took over companies and took people’s jobs away to cut costs. This will play to the poplulist current out there and tap into some of the same people Edwards and Huck have been appealing into. The extreme left will also lap it up.
Below the radar, they will attack his religion. This will be carried out by surrogates who cannot be traced back to the Democrat party or to Hill and Bill. If you think you’ve seen Mormon-baiting in the primaries, you ain’t seen nothing yet. This is the way the Clintons play the game of politics.
The Dems will beat Romney like a rented mule, and Hillary Clinton will put her hand on ther bible on a cold day a little less than a year from now and lie about preserving and protecting the constitution of the United States.

He's not a conservative. He thinks mandates from the government are the solution. That is not conservative thinking.
As to viable, he's a flipper. The Dems must be smart enough to know how to deal with a flipper. We showed them how the last time.
I will only quit when Fred quits and as other articles have asked why should he? If you've got the cash, keep promoting a clear conservative message.
So will I via Fred.

Although I believe that Thompson's positions are still the most conservative of the remaining candidates (that is, the positions that they state), followed by Romney, Huckabee, McCain, and Rudy (and I will not vote for Rudy in any case)...I have a sinking impression that Thompson is going to benefit his friend McCain in this.
He is drawing delegates and votes, and as long as he stays in, I will support him. But, I fear that if he drops out, that he will throw his support behind McCain.
I hope I am wrong...and I would really rather see Thompson as the ultimate candidate...but my gut tells me he is going to end up supporting McCain, which I will not do.
Duncan Hunter was my first choice, but he is gone now...followed by Thompson (enthusiastically), Romney (less enthusiastically), Huckabee and McCain thereafter (holding nose), and voting write-in or third party if its Rudy vs, Hillary...and as I have explained before this is because I personally will not put my name down in support of anyone who is an open supporter of abortion or homsexuality.
I guess we'll wait and see.

I have come to that conclusion but can we please STOP calling the man a conservative? Hes a moderate. At best. Like Reagan, Romney was once a "moderate" but is now solid conservative.

Personally I believe the same thing if Romney wins it....And I think Rush will eventually come to the same conclusion. Nope. Won't happen. You need to listen to his show tomorrow to get the proper dosage of Rush Rays to set your mind right.

Congratulations on finding YouTube videos of Romney taking liberal positions. And now here is a YouTube
VIDEO of Ronald Reagan slamming Republicans. And guess what? Both men changed their positions for the better.

Most of those now opposed here to Romney will be big fans of his about a year into his administration when they find out he is not only incredibly competent but also a rock solid CONSERVATIVE.

BTW, a person without a sense of humor is one who confuses irreverence with irrelevance.

One "little" flaw in your logic. A Hillary nomination will tear the left apart. Expect as many as two or maybe three independent parties running to the Left of her like Bloomie and Ralph that will draw the votes away from the Democrats. Folks, rather than the gloom and doom displayed here, I see a HUGE crackup among the Democrats in a few months. That party is already beginning to break up due to their feuding factions.

Sometimes I feel like a political sheepdog here. I need to herd the recalcitrants. Oops! Someone over on that yonder rock grumbling about how his beloved Fred isn't being appreciated by the voters. Bow Wow! I need to herd him back in line. Another member of the flock wandering off because he doesn't like the eventual nominee. Ruff! Ruff! Need to head him off and get him back in the pack. Oh! Oh! Another one bleating about the religious issue! Need to growl threateningly to snap him out of his delusions and get him back with the flock.
Yes, I am PJ-Comix, the political sheepdog, bringing the herd together for their own good.
