Upset that his 7-year-old son wouldn't wear a Green Bay Packers jersey during the team's playoff victory Saturday, a man restrained the boy for an hour with tape and taped the jersey onto him.

Kowald, contacted later Wednesday by the Portage Daily Register, said the incident happened in a joking manner as his son challenged him by saying he wouldn't root for the Packers. When he tied the boy up, the youngster was laughing as his wife took pictures.

I think he is about 180 pounds overweight.
They just showed the photo on the news of this guy (said to be 36 years old, but he looks over 55), using duct tape on this poor, frightened little boy.
What a jerk.
Wife used pictures against “cruel” husband. Can’t you just feel the love in that home? LOL

I just opened the link in another window and it worked for me? Hmmmmmm. I agree....it IS crazy that the wife just stood by and did nothing if the boy was so traumatized.
Fox this morning, said the kid was laughing when the father did it.
Maybe she wanted her few minutes of fame.
If he left the kid taped up for an hour then it was wrong. But if it was just playing and he let him out then its horseplay. Either way sounds like he and the ‘wife’ don’t get along and she’s just using this as ammunition against him.
But then I could be wrong because we know that women are always ALWAYS the noble ones in relationships and never mistreat their kiddies.
I still giggle whenever I hear the term “packer.”
The 36-year-old Kowald was arrested Monday after his wife told authorities about the incident. Kowald was taken to the county jail and held until Wednesday, when he pleaded no contest, paid a fine of $186 and was released.
Kowald's wife filed a restraining order Wednesday, so Kowald will not be able to have contact with his family, Smith said. Smith said other domestic issues have surfaced, though he wouldn't elaborate.
Something else must have happened that weekend.
I think the base problem is that our leaders and "authorities" are both insane and stupid.
The kid was laughing about it, the mother thought it was funny, and they released him within a minute when he 'got upset'.
Sounds like much to do about nothing.

The wife was laughing because he was giving her leverage in whatever legal proceedings she has planned. Sounds like a cold conniving individual to me.
If he was harming the child why didn’t she stop him instead of snapping pictures. Probably thought the pictures would get her on Jerry Springer or something.
