Moss just gave a statement on a radio station in Boston ... claims the women is lying that he battered her and that she earlier contacted Moss and his attorney and demanded money or else she would break the story right before the AFC championship game.
It is another case of 'she said - he said' that will be played out in the public forum with all kinds of speculation and theories, one of which will be accurate.

Causing a distraction for the AFC Championship - could be a planned thing.

It is another case of 'she said - he said' Indeed. But when one has a reputation like Moss' the "she said" is more believable. You can stick a punk on a great team, but a punk he'll remain.

Wonder what Roger Goodell thinks of this?

It is another case of 'she said - he said' that will be played out in the public forum with all kinds of speculation and theories, one of which will be accurate. From what I have read it seems the legal facts are that she had a slightly injured finger that was x-rayed the day after and nothing was broken. It was put in a splint. She waits 8 days to file a restraining order. Both parties claim lawyer contact before the restraining order was sought. No criminal charges have been filed.
My gut feeling is that she twisted her finger however that occurred, Moss headed back to Boston which makes the woman's claim that she was in essence a hostage of Moss clearly untrue, lawyers met, woman and her lawyer demanded cash, Moss and his lawyer said, uh, "screw you", woman files belated restraining order, Moss and lawyer say "we'll see you on January 28."
I'm gonna go with Moss on this one. Presuming he is innocent it will be good that he got rid of this "friend"
