I can't say for certain. I can't imagine someone saying “Yeah, they asked me but I turned them down.”
I'm sure the committee feels out prospective members before asking.

doubt it....that is the highest honer in country music....My George doesn’t live in Nashville, not available most weekends probably....that doesn’t make him a bad guy but when you live full time in TX it would be a little tough to be available for the grand ole opry....Michael sucked!!!!
