Carrie seems to be avoiding the same traps, while at the same time loosing the grip Idol had on her career.

So far, Carrie has hands-down been the smartest AI winner in terms of career choices. I applaud her for that.

I still love Kelly, and am hoping Narvel Blackstock, her new manager (and Reba's husband), takes her in hand and mentors her. (Actually, I'm hoping Kelly listens to him.) The Reba-Kelly tour was a smashing success, and My December has been able to scratch out a platinum certification. So her career is still solid. MD can be chalked up to young artist growing pains if she does't repeat the same mistakes.

The Reba-Kelly tour was a smashing success

And Kelly and Reba's duet of "Because of You" was nominated for an Academy of Country Music Award today :)
