Me, too! Kristy over Amanda? Are they nuts??? Did you all see Amanda on with the Friends this morning? Made me like her even more...so humble and nice. I hope she gets a great career out of this.
Yes,she is humble and nice. She just can’t sing without screaming.
Here’s a link to a couple of interviews... She really seems like she’s got her head screwed on right. Good luck to ya, Chile!

Some highlights...
Q: Sometimes you had this look on your face like ‘’What the hell am I doing here?’’ Is that what you were feeling?
A: I thought that every day. But I wouldn’t have gotten recognized if I had not done the show. I don’t have it in me to come to L.A. and beat the pavement to be a rock star. That’s why I went to college and got a mortgage and got a career.
Q: Would you ever go back to being a nurse?
A: I might have to. You never know. Number 11 is still pretty far down there on the food chain. Hopefully I created enough attention that somebody wants to pick me up and let me do something with music. But chances are they won’t and I might end up right back where I started. I’ll probably give it a good six months or so and beat the pavement. If this ends up being my 15 minutes of fame I will gracefully bow out and move on to do something different. This will not be the unicorn I will chase for the rest of my life.
Q: Wow. That is so refreshing to hear. Usually when I do these interviews, the contestant talks on and on about how he or she is destined to be a star.
A: I hate those f-—king answers. Are you kidding me?
Q: Were you upset about the way things ended?
A: I just got voted off a TV show. I was just happy to be there and felt privileged to have millions of Americans vote for me just to keep me on until [the top] 11. With someone like me who’s completely different from you know I’m cut out of a different mold [from] everyone else in the competition I found that very, very warming that I had that much support.
Q: How driven are you to make it in show business?
A: I am a very driven person by nature, and I’m going to take a calculated route to achieve success, but, you know, everyone’s definition of success varies from person to person. Success to me is a strong, healthy family and success in whatever job that you do. ... If this is just 15 minutes of fame, I wouldn’t spend my whole life chasing to get it back. I’d move on. Hopefully, I make a career out of this, but it’s not going to be that unicorn that I keep chasing.
