Interview with neighbor (who loaned Laurean a shovel early December)states that he saw three backyard fires on three separate occasions, Christmas eve, Christmas day and New Years. Also had friends over. Bonfires not unusual - everyone burns in that neighborhood.
Additionally, the neighbor’s wife was told by Mrs.Laurean that “they were painting the whole house & garage” and also saw Mrs. Laurean painting the garage.
Was there any mention that the body had been dismembered? Maybe he (they?) did it a little at a time. Might keep the smell from being so overwhelming. But the thing is NC had a burning ban at that time. Even if bonfires are common, someone should have at least reported that especially if it happened at least 3 separate times.
Interesting to possibly have two sociopaths in the same house. I wonder if the missus, at ANY time was wearing one of those pregnancy pillows? I hope they’re keeping an eye on her.
THREE fires? Christmas Eve was also the same he day he was using her ATM card. So when you say they had friends over, do you mean for the bonfires? If so, I bet they are totally creeped out! How could you burn bodies, with people over, without there being a smell?
So it appears Mrs Laurean helped paint the house. I wonder if he was able to clean it up enough that she was unaware what they were covering up? Doubt it. I had wondered if he done the painting during the time the neighbor said the Mrs. car wasn’t there (before Christmas). Guess not.
Maybe she bought the story of the suicide and helped her husband cover.
