Not clear - he does have two other aliases.
I believe US policy is that military enlistees who are LEGAL aliens have expedited citizenship access.
Not sure if ILLEGALs are even permitted to join the US military - seems like that would also be illegal.
ANYONE???

For a search of the pregnant Marine that started out so slow, the authorities are really ramping up the search for her murder suspect.
AP in Boston Globe
"Federal authorities were
posting billboards nationwide with the picture of a Marine wanted in the slaying of a pregnant colleague, and the sheriff announced a $25,000 reward Monday for information leading to his arrest.
Authorities are looking for Marine Cpl. Cesar Armando Laurean, wanted in the death of Marine Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach, who had accused him of rape. FBI officials said
the first billboards with Laurean's photo should be posted Monday in Columbus, Ohio, and Las Vegas."....

Just getting married does not do it, an alien would need to be in country legally and then apply for a permanent green card. An illegal cannot join, but anyone with a legal status can. Once you are in service, before Jorge, you could only apply for citizen ship after you completed your first tour of duty. Jorge has seen fit to change that, so an alien can join, get his papers and get kicked out and be rewarded for being a reject.
The reason the marriage thing was changed because people were caught paying people to marry them. You remember the woman from Lebanon working in the FBI, well she also had an army officer sister that paid someone to marry her.
