I have no idea. There may be some sense of priviledge irregardless of money transfers, but I really don't know. I don't see any reason why Cesear would tell anyone where he was headed, except the wife.
Since the wife told authorities that she knew about the bodies the day before Cesear left AND told them that he would head to Mexico if he was in trouble, I think she has boxed herself in for obstruction at a minimum. She admitted she knew he would flee and which direction, yet still waited to turn him in.
