Never been to Mexico but in Germany there are many beer/wine/soft drink stores that look just like this where anyone can buy a case (or less) of anything drinkable.

"We have contacted the embasy, interpol, local police the attorney generals office and the consualte in Guagajara and no one seems to know anything other than they believe he is here. Keep in mind no warrents have been issued. The next move is go go to Gaudalajara and get witnesses friends family on tape."

IOW, nothing much is happening in Mexico. The reporter is making more progress and asking more questions than any Mexican authority.
