Thanks for the article, NCjim. While it 'may' be true the wife wasn't there for the actual killing, it doesn't mean she didn't know it wasn't going to happen.

Laurean would have to be a superman to kill, clean up massive amounts of blood, paint and bury Maria before the wife got home from the party. And how, exactly, did the wife know that Maria was disoriented and agitated? I wonder if she was disoriented because she had just received the first blow to her head? Or, would those be the words from the husband? I wonder if the Laureans had a deep freezer in the garage to put Maria until she was buried and burned?

Oh, I agree. It was surmised earlier that the party would become her alibi and that’s what happened. Does not mean that she did not know beforehand or afterward.
