I believe we are all trying to think through the unthinkable. Why do we not expect our young military personnel to have character flaws and sociopathies that are rampant in the civilian population?

Answer: Because we hold them in higher regard and respect and that is why this story is bending our senses.

I responded to his, "women have no place in the military, ever" Something along those lines. I posted a link that showed we had women who served their country with pride and honor. I guess he didn't like it.

Our military come from the same pool of people our police do. We find good and bad in both because there are good and bad in our population.

We do hold them to a higher standard but we have to remember, they're human with human faults and weakness and fragilities.
