4 years sounds inflated.
I still don’t think he’s that savvy of a criminal. His biggest asset may have been that he got an early start when he fled. According to his command, he wasn’t at work from Tuesday afternoon on - a full 2 1/2 days before his wife turned in the note. Supposedly he was meeting witb his lawyers. That seems a stretch (and expensive) to spend that much time with lawyers. He kept in contact with his command by phone throughout each day until Friday when, voila, he couldn’t be reached by phone. He could have been calling them from Timbuctoo on his cell.
Don’t know if anyone reliable can confirm they saw him after that. Either way, he had a lot of time to plan (those 2 1/2 days).
