Send it on :-) Can’t be as bizarre as reality
I don’t know. Sounds like they are working with the FBI, though, so maybe extradition isn’t a problem for Mexico in such a high profile case.
You have mail, but please don’t laugh...it really is a far-fetched idea. :)
They send thousands of their citizens with “How to” pamphlets across our border daily, yet one loser will be protected.
What I’m saying is that I’m sure there are things that are put into place for disciplining for adultery but IN MY EXPERIENCE (as a Marine wife, living on base, and in the military “system” for 13 years) they do not pursue that sort of discipline.
On the other hand, as listed, they would not overlook a Marine that was not supporting their family.
Now you have FReepmail;)
Thanks for suffering through my thoughts. :) Forgot to mention that Laurean would have had to tell people that his wife lost the child, and that the wife strapped on a few pillows, put Maria’s uniform on and bought the bus ticket using Maria’s ID.
Sometimes, men are attracted to other women even when the other woman looks like the wife. Make sense?
Do not blame yourself. Several media reports stated that Cesar told an investigator it was consensual. Not the first time MSM has gotten something wrong.
Keep in mind, one doesn’t ‘check out’ of the Marine Corps.
Officials also say it appears Laurean has sent letters back to his wife in North Carolina.
The Associated Press reports at least 1 of the letters was postmarked from Houston.

Court documents filed this week by the FBI state Laurean, 21, told members of his Marine Corps unit he would flee to Mexico if it appeared he would be found guilty of rape. Laurean’s wife also told authorities she believed he would head to Mexico if he was in trouble.
“We strongly suspect, but have not confirmed, that Laurean may be in Mexico,” FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said in Washington. “We have a strong working relationship with law enforcement partners in Mexico and we’re working with them to locate and apprehend

Anything is possible in this case. Your hypothesis is no more far fetched than some of my ideas. :-)
***Keep in mind, one doesnt check out of the Marine Corps.***
Interesting comment - because that *note* that Maria supposedly wrote - indicated that was precisely what she had in mind. But, if Maria was the child of a Military pilot and knew the protocol it would be more likely that she would have just asked for medical leave, to continue benefits, salary, child care and save her career.
I also thought it strange she would write *I couldn’t take this Marine life* (past tense) rather than *I cannot take*. It’s as if she had already checked out.
Good point on the past tense.
If he was telling folks his wife was pregnant, this was very possibly a pre-meditated murder.
We don’t know if Laurean’s wife IS pregnant. She could be. But I doubt it. I want DNA on the toddler, Mommy Dearest, and Laurean’s toothbrush.
Cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma to the head. But if they intended to do one of those sick kill the mother steal the baby, (and the story would be that Maria gave them the baby before going UA in shame) but it was botched and burned....
I’m thinking the ‘bizarre’ part. How would one know, with the body destroyed, if the cause of death were not actually from blunt force trauma to the head, but that all the blood was from trying to take the baby?
Sounds like a case for NCIS, eh? /sarc
Here it is...I thought that I was dreaming!
Timeline
"On May 18th, 2007, NCIS interviews Cpl Laurean and he denies any sexual contact with LCpl Lauterbach."

When LCpl Maria Lauterbach was permitted to live off base Cpl. Cesar Armando Laurean was already living off base. There was a failure of Leadership right up to and including the She is the replacement in the the command position formerly held by a Major General. Thanks for the timeline.
the Sheriff's Department should have been advised of the Protective Order.
Politically Correct Base Commander. She is derelict in her duty.

It's the little things that give people away. I'm interested in hearing how the handwriting analysis turns out.
